Ayde Rayas's opening was so exciting. We love having her paintings and textile work hanging at Gallery 505. Her work emanates life-affirming vibrance and beauty.
Our wonderfully supportive community turned out to see the exhibit and enjoyed connecting.

Ayde is a Bronx based artist. Her bold, layered and whimsical body of work are reflections on nature and the human spirit. She is influenced by ferns, her Mexican roots and her grandmother's resourcefulness. Ayde is also a Licensed Creative Art Therapist and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, MPS Art Therapy Program. She has been working as an art therapist with youth in New York City for the past 14 years, and passionately creates a safe space for adolescents to express themselves through art. She holds a private practice in Riverdale and Manhattan. Ayde has exhibited artwork in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Ithaca, and France.
